Crescent View Development

Designing and construction have always been a love of mine. At Dimensional Communications I am fortunate to have the support of a very capable staff.  This has allowed me to be involved in a project that has challenged and educated me for eight years.

In 1991, I found property on the Columbia River at Crescent Bar that I thought would be an ideal site for a resort condominium. I put my plans together and became a general contractor. To raise the necessary start-up capital, I offered the initial group of buyers a reduced price on the purchase or their condo if they paid for it in full in advance. Looking back on it now, I find it quite amazing that I was able to find 18 buyers willing to take that gamble.

Crescent View is a 12-acre condominium with 72 two- and three-bedroom units bordered by a 700-foot cliff on one side and the Columbia River on the other. The amenities include 3 swimming pools, 2 spas, a children’s wading pool, tennis court, racquetball court, restaurant, women’s boutique, espresso bar and an 18-hole natural turf putting course. The project was completed in the summer of 1999. The individuals who took the gamble and invested before construction began doubled their investment in less than two years.
